Earth's Systems in your Classroom
SATURDAY, March 18, 2017
8:30 AM to 2:00 PM
In collaboration with the renowned outreach team from the Department of Marine and Coastal Sciences, this year the conference will focus on connecting students to "ESS2: Earth's Systems" with crosscutting concepts and science & engineering practices.
Online Earth System datasets can be a tremendous classroom resource. However finding ways for our students to display and analyze data can be challenging and overwhelming.
Through the analysis of micro datasets students develop confidence in their abilities to explore larger datasets.
Breakout sessions will provide attendees the opportunity to explore hands-on lessons related to Earth Systems micro datasets, and learn how to use them in their grades 4-12 science lessons.
In addition to break out sessions the conference will include a keynote speaker sharing cutting edge research, visits to working laboratories, and other resources.
Join us for this action-packed day guaranteed to inspire your classroom of tomorrow!
